AFA is committed to hands-on learning, professional growth, and the preservation of Malaysia’s arts and cultural heritage. Our programmes are designed to strengthen the skills and competencies of both emerging and established practitioners.

Our Key Practice-Based Programmes:
  • Artistic Development Labs: Designed to nurture creativity and experimentation through guided mentorship, peer learning, and practice-based projects for arts practitioners.
  • Arts Management & Stage Operations Training: Equip practitioners with operational, strategic, and theatre technology skills to run sustainable projects and venues.
Arts First Association (AFA)

AFA is a non-profit organization committed to advancing cultural and creative expressions in Malaysia. We support artists, practitioners, arts spaces and communities by fostering collaboration, dialogue, and growth. Our long-term goal is to build an inclusive space where people in the arts can connect, share ideas, and work together to strengthen the arts ecosystem.
